This is a marriage of James Batey to a Frances.

As Frances was married to James Bately, her 2nd marriage would be under that name not her maiden name. I would suggest that you order Michael's birth cert to confirm his Mum's maiden name

Looking again at the dates you give, she can't have been widowed in 1885 as she had children named Batey who were born in the 1890's (unless she had them to someone other than her first husband).

I also just assumed that they were married in the North East as I found them all in the 1901 census livivng there in the same village as I was brought up

Thats correct her first marriage was to James Batey I could not find that marriage either and one of her sons in her first Marraige was my grandfather Michael Batey

Could some kind person help me find a marriage date between Isaac and Francis she was my great grandmother and she was widowed in 1885 and re married by 1901 census. Lived in Kibblesworth, Lamsley reg disrtict was Chester-leStreet Co Durham
