Matilda's birth is a little out but it's definately the right area...I should have pointed out that they were from Llanelli!

I may have to check with my Mum again to see if she's sure about when Phillip died.

Philip was born in 1887 (from his birth certificate) and I have a newspaper article from their 50th wedding anniversary saying that he was 17 and she was 19 when they got married in 1904. So, I think Matilda was born in about 1885. So it looks like a possiblity!

Do you know how old they were when they died ? as the index usually gives an age

One Matilda J dies in 1960 Q1 in QWandsworth aged 74. Do you have ages as cross check?

Having rouble finding my great-grandparents deaths.

Matilda Jane Evans died in about 1959/60
and her husband, Phillip (or Philip) Myrddin Evans died about 2 years lated in 1961/62.

They lived in Barnham, West Sussex in 1954, so it should be around that area.
