I have a marriage cert for 1851 Jul-Aug-Sep Dursley Gloucestershire, Wiltshire for Joseph Tilley (b1797 Uley, Glos.) and Margaret Hounsell Workman (b1821 Dursley). It states that both their fathers were deceased and did not give a name, which is not very useful. But it also tells me that Joseph was a Widower, how can I find his first wife, any ideas?

It states that his mother was called Hannah Grove, could it be his step mom?

On ancestry there are only three marriages for Joseph Tilley in Gloucs between 1841 and 1851. These were Keynsham 1848, Bristol 1850 and Dursley 1851.

In 1841 - who might Elizabeth age 60 be? If she's his wife - she's a bit older but it's possible. Or mother-in-law - assuming first wife had died?
