Think I shall have to head for County Hall and trawl through the burials for Sacriston and Witton Gilbert.

Sadly there are no Melinda Rutherford's or Graham's in the NBI2 post 1901. I also couldn't find either William's in the County of Durham for the same period. However it would appear that the disc only covers the Parish of Witton Gilbert and the Church of St Michael All Angels for 1550-1776

William Edward's mother Margaret Jane was married twice. First husband Thomas Rutherford , second John Mingins.

1871 Census shows Margaret married to John Mingins and step sons with surname Rutherford.

1881 Census shows Margaret still married to John Mingins (William Edward is by now married and living elsewhere. ) His younger brother also called Edward step sons has surname of Graham.

Have so far been unsuccessful in tracing Thomas Rutherford (b. 1827 at Berwick) marriage to Margaret Jane.

1861 Census shows Thomas and Margaret Jane living at Cowpen Quay. Also living with them is "sister" aged 13 Annie Todd.

They were living at Sacriston, Co. Durham in 1901.
