Ivy | Report | 3 Nov 2007 14:43 |
So this is them in 1841 (all except James who was presumably born in the second half of 1841): |

Hi Ivy |

Ivy | Report | 3 Nov 2007 15:00 |
Can't immediately see Joseph and James in 1861. |

Ivy | Report | 3 Nov 2007 15:01 |
James in 1871? |
|||
|
Ivy | Report | 3 Nov 2007 15:05 |
Thomas may also have married an Alice and be living in Blackburn in 1871? |

Hi again Ivy |

Ivy | Report | 3 Nov 2007 15:15 |
There is a death for an Eliza Fielding in the Sep qtr of 1870 in Blackburn |

I'm always surprised just how unique most people's details are. I almost posted details of the other Thomas Fielding, but spotted the 1839 birth year just in time. |

So for 1861 still to find are Joseph (who reappears in 1871), James, and perhaps John. |

I know about Joseph. He married a Catherine Rothwell who dies shortly after they married. He returned home and later married Julia Brophy and went on to have Thomas Henry and Eliza, He is dead before the 1901 census was taken. |

There are deaths for several James Fieldings per Free BMD in the 1851 to 1866 period. The Lancashire BMD site has the actual ages for these years, and has indexed the Blackburn registers. The only possible James (his age would have to be increased a little) is an 18 year old in 1856. There is also a John aged 21 in 1857 - this time the age would need to be rounded down for a match. |

Thanks for all the information Ivy. I've got a lot to go on and will get busy trying to tie it all in. It becomes quite mind boggling!! This family are the hardest that I have tried to find, along with their mother Mary Wright, 1810, Hoghton Tower. I live in Spain and am mostly reliant on the internet. |
