Thanks Gary and Alfie
I really did not know what it was, but thank you for letting me know.
Thanks again

A saddle tree is the wooden framework, on which a saddle (for a horse) is constructed. It distributes the rider's weight evenly.

Hope this helps,
Alfie.

I have just received a marriage certificate which states that the grooms profession is a saddle tree maker.
Has anyone any ideas what this could entail please?
Many thanks
Diane
