William Lecont c 1859 married Harriet Osborne ?? and lived at 2 Suffolk st clarkenwell London in 1879 when daughter Harriet Lecont was born . but cant find any record of him .

Could be them on the 1881 census. William is a cabdriver. Does that tie in with his occupation on Harriet's birth cert?

Hi Christine

Re you PM - I have checked the image and everything seems to be properly transcribed. It is possible that William junior and Harrieta junior have had their ages transposed also that the spelling of the names is wrong - names were very often spelt wrong on the censuses.

I cannot find any births for a Harrieta or for William and the other child George that are obviously right.

You can check them for yourself on FreeBMD.

Can't find the family at all in 1891.

Did William's occupation of cabdriver tie up with Harriet's birth cert?
