Can anyone help with the parents of James Lindley? James was born in 1804 in Kearsley, Lancs. Last known address was 17 Kearsley Green. His wife, Alice, died approx. 1835 after which he lived with his spinster sister, Anne (born 1807) and his widowed daughter, Margaret Percival.

There is this christening on the IGI:-

JAMES LINDLEY
Male

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Event(s):
Birth:
Christening: 24 JUL 1803 Ringley, Lancashire, England

Death:
Burial:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parents:
Father: JOHN LINDLEY
Mother: PEGGY

Ringley is right next to Kearsley.

Also on the IGI with the same parents is an Ann Lindley:-

ANN LINDLEY
Female

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Event(s):
Birth:
Christening: 14 DEC 1806 Ringley, Lancashire, England

Death:
Burial:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parents:
Father: JOHN LINDLEY
Mother: PEGGY

If James called his daughter Margaret, then she was probably named after his mother (Peggy is short for Margaret).
