LOOKUP earlier than the 1841 census?

Does anyone know if it is at all possible to look up earlier than 1841 census??

Im back to some later relatives but am having problems finding partners etc adn siblings and by the time the 1841 census was complete they were all in there 20s and marryign off.

can anyone help me with this? must also add this family line is scotland based

Samantha, not sure about Scotland, but 1841 is the earliest worthwhile census for genealogy purposes in England/Wales (suspect Scotland is the same). There were earlier census, but really only a head count.

You can check on the familysearch.org site on the IGI there. Its far from complete though and some of the records are submitted by members and very iffy. The ones that say they are "extracted" from records are pretty reliable.
