I have just been thinking, and Georgiana's maiden name was Soanes, so maybe it comes from there, bit of a strange name though i guess.

I have just looked at the image and am not too sure about the correct age for Allen. All the ages on the page have horrible thick black lines or crosses through them. Allen's looks as if it might have been 3 to start with, but what is left not crossed off is either 2 or 7.

As for Agness, the name Soames (if it IS Soames) comes first. So looks like the name is Soames Agness.

All the rest seems to be correct.

Thats great, thank you all, although i have one question on the one Sue posted it says that Allen was 3 yrs old then on the one VL posted it says he was 7 these are both supposed to be 1891 so any ideas would be appeciated.

Also Agness has the word 'Soams' next to her name on the one sue posted and not on the other one...is it likely to be a middle name or does anyone have any ideas?

I dont know where Heworth is, i just stumbled upon there marriage after finding my grt grandfathers birth record on free BMD.

It sounds likely though, i shall obtain certs etc anyway to confirm any details.

You need to buy the marriage certificate to get her father's name and occupation to help with the search for her in the 1901 census (if she was born before then). There are quite a few Margaret Nesbitt's in Co. Durham.

Could anyone please look up a Margaret Nesbitt on the 1901 census for me, i have just found her marriage on freeBMD to Thomas Toner in 1918 this shows that they were married in Gateshead.

I know they had a son in 1920 also named Thomas Toner, however i dont know at present what year she was born
any help would be appreciated
