n is just short for nudge.

By adding a nudge or somthing similar, it pushes your thread back up to the top of the list. Linda probably nudged it up to make sure that you have seen the replies.

For local newspaper reports of the incident you would need to get in touch with the library local to the area where the deaths took place. They should have back copies of local newspapers on microfilm.

If you don't live in the area, try googling the name of the town+library. Most libraries have an email address so that you can contact them.

I wonder if anyone can help or advise, my great uncles Lawrence & Lewis Hatcher who were twins died in Wraysbury Middlesex (was Buckinghamshire then) back in 1942,. the date they died was 18 March 1942 by a hand grenade, what i wanted to know is is there a website i can go to to find anything out.
