Free BMD has a marriage of James Edward Dendy and Mary Ann Cockman on the same page in Kingston, Surrey but it's not until 1910.

Could they have lived together common-law and then got married much later???

Birth registrations from www.freebmd.org.

If you obtain these birth certificates, it will tell you the mother's maiden name!

Births Jun 1896 (>99%)

Dendy Mabel Ethel Kingston 2a 369

Births Dec 1897 (>99%)

Dendy Stanley James Kingston 2a 363

Births Jun 1899 (>99%)

Dendy Edward Owen Kingston 2a 386

There are quite a few Dendy babies born in Kingston, but I don't know whether any of them are yours!!!

Tor order certificates, go to www.gro.gov.uk, click on Ordering Certificates Online in the box to the right of the screen, and follow instructions.

The GRO reference number that you need is the 2 numbers to the right of the place name.

Each will cost you £7 and take about 4 to 8 days to arrive.

Certificates are the ONLY way you can be sure of having the right nmaes.
