I am so sorry to be asking again for help with this relative,but all previous suggestions have been tried and I am so stuck.!
My grt Aunt Mary Gallagher b 1888 (nee keegan) emigrated to usa (illinois) in 1912 and settled there with James b1891?her husband (married 1910 in Co.Durham,England)
I have been helped to find them on the census records there and even a probable record of Aunt Mary`s death in Dec.1975 in Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois. SSN: 334-03-9175 Now here is where the brick wall comes in - I have been trying to get some confirmation of her death and hopefully find some of her living relatives,but despite sending many e-mails i have had no response at all from the winnebago library where I was advised to try to get a copy of funeral notice/obituary. Can anyone help?? or advise/suggest anything else to try, as I can`t let this one go because I am trying to get this info for my aunt who is desperate to be able to trace her relatives and is/has been very ill.
