Hi Kirst. I am not connected but had a look for you.

Your dates are out a little.

Marriage of Edith and Fred. 1908. Wortley. vol 9c 608.

The Commonwealth War Graves shows his age as 28 in 1916 when he died, which brings his birth to approx 1887/8

I have found a possible birth July/Sept. Qtr. reg in Wortley. vol 9c 252.

If you get a copy of the marriage certificate it will give their ages, their Father's names and occupations, and witnesses who may be siblings.

You can then order a copy of the birth certificate with the proviso that it agrees with the Father's name from the above certificate. Hope this helps. Ethel.
