As you can see records have been found for you by above folk, now with this informtion.
Find the Registry Office for that area Emma, then write with what particulars you have, they will search 5years either side for you, I did it to get my grandparents lines, altho I had an idea of what year they wed, sometimes it was just a year before the eldest child was born.
There is no other way for Irish searches other than this and direct physical, of course they do have researchers who charge a fortune, so best to try the simple route as suggested.

(by the way it costs about £7.00 same as here I just sent a cheque for that amount with stamped address envelope enclosed they sent the certificate and change.)

Just got hold of my grandmas birth certificate whooope!!
now trying to find a marrige for her mum and dad.
william francis palmer- margaret palmer[duggan] 24 bishop street cork . birth kathleen palmer 18/07/1892 william was a seaman rn
