Member Since: February 2007 Posts: 14 Send Message	I have just been informed by my cousin that my gt grandmother was adopted!!! Her name was Edith Maud Thomas I think!! She according to my auntie turned up on the doorstep after her mother died and was taken in by the family that adopted her. Would Thomas be her adoptive surname as she was thomas on her marriage cert or would that be her birth name?? Can anyone help? Her Father's Name was John Thomas I now don't know if he was her adoptive father or not. Any help would be welcomed kim
