My great great grandmother, through marriage was Ellen Foreman nee Austen 1852, I believe that her parents were Peter Austen 1814 & Mary ? 1818, both born in Marden, Kent. I think Ellen had siblings Mary 1839, Ann 1844, Kate 1846, Herbert 1848, George 1854 and Frederick 1857 all born in Marden, Kent. If anyone recognises any of these from their trees please get in touch. Peter was recorded as Austen in the 1841, 1851 & 1861 census', but named as Peter Austin in the 1871 census, his mother was named as Damaris and born c1784. I have found a marriage for a Peter Austin and Damaris Walter on 05 Dec 1810 in Marden, Kent, which could be the parents of Peter. |
