With the combined efforts of Julie, Ivy, Andrew, Sue C and Glitter Baby, they have found my Dorothy Lapish at the above establishment on the 1841 census. (Many thanks guys)

Now I've googled away, and have found that female records for New Bailey are only held from 1863 and the Todmorden newspapers (where she originated from) are only available from around the same date:-( Dorothy is back in Todmorden by the 1851 census.

So, any ideas please on how I can prove (or not) that this is my Dorothy?

Many Thanks
