Not an easy job to find the siblings then - you could trawl through all the possibles born in Portsmouth with the name Brown but ................ cost a fortune in certs to verify they were of the same parents. After late 1911 the mothers maiden name is added to the index - so here is one possible for you: Did they move to Wilts?

Hi I am trying to find any information about any brothers or sisters of my grandmother violet may brown born 1901 in portsmouth she married James Long and moved at some point to london her parents where Alfred Brown 1877 and Honora Scarrott 1880 i believe she was one of eight children any information would we gratefully appreicated
