If you bought Henry's birth certificate it would give Frances' maiden name. Ditto if you bought Emily's marriage cert

Which one would be most useful? If you bought Emily's marriage certificate you would get her father and the grooms father and their occupations, residence for the bride and groom and also the witnesses who may be handy to know?

If you buy Henrys birth cert you will get his parents full names and the place of birth.

To get a cert go to GRO online (NEVER use any other site as there are scam sites charging up to £50 a cert!) You need to find the event on freebmd or ancestry complete index (freebmd is still being transcribed for easy name searching by volunteers - ancestry complete is the index which you have to search by looking at the images of the original reg ref). When you get the reference, the year, the quarter of the year (sometimes this will just show a month), the volume and page no. You go to GRO online, tick the box that says you have the gro ref and then enter the details. It will cost you £7. I have albums full of them and very surprising info you get too!

Ill just have a look to see if I can find Henrys birth and Emilys marriage - OR you can try on freebmd. Why dont you also take the three day free trial, no card details needed for ancestry US and UK census and bmds and LOTS of other

Frances M is on the 1861 census in 2 Peacock Street, Newington with her parents:

In 1851 in South Place, Belgrave, St George Hanover Square:

Emily c1839? Middlesex
Emily c1846 Middlesex
Edward W c1849 Middlesex
Hellen? c1850 Middlesex

IGI has a more accurate date for the marriage:
