Trying to work something out mary gibbons born about1856 on the 1881 census it shows her as beingmarried to herbrert lowe but there is a bit of a mystery because in the 1891 census she is married to aaron lowe.Could it be herbert and aaron were brothers and hertbert died so mary married aaron afterwards. In 1891 census ther is a kate lowe aged 4but she is not on the 1901 census wondered if she died or possibly went into service.In the 1901 census there are 2 more children born emily 1893 and bertram 1895.Could this be a possibility or am i barking up the wrong tree. Cannot find any trace of a marriage to Herbert but she married Aaron (giving her name as Mary Gibbons) in first quarter of 1883 at Walsall, ref 6b 830 which would suggest she had not been married before as she gave her maiden name. A copy of a birth certificate of any of the children born prior to 1883 would answer who the father was and if they were married. In 1901 Kate is definitely in service on a farm. Aaron died aged 41 in the first quarter of 1897 ref 6b 444.

Location would be helpful.........particularly birthplaces

mary was born in the willenhall area staffordshire in about 1856 and her mother also called mary gibbons was born about 1821 in galway ireland no idea who she married or her maiden name. mary born 1856 had gibbons as her maiden name and lowe was her married name.Thanks dawn.

The boy John is in both households..............do you know where Louisa and Mary A were in 1891?

I may be missing something........but I can't find either of the 'husbands' on any census before the ones on which they appear with Mary.............

I know that loiusa was in service in 1891 but don't know about mary a. Louisa was only 15 years old.

I'm starting to get a bit confused as it appears that there are 2 different possibilities on the lowe family.The family in shropshire I don't think that could be them as I'm sure that they always lived around the willenhall bentley area of staffordshire. Thanks dawn.

in the 1891 census it shows louisa lowe in service at 22, peel street willenhall. other members of the household are Agnes Clarckson aged 2, John F clarkson aged 4, Margaret m clarkson 32, mary clarkson 3 weeks, richard h clarkson 33 and louisa lowe 15. If this is any help thanks dawn.

Willenhall was classified as Shropshire in the years in which these people were born......for confirmation, just look at Mary's birthplace as per 1871 posting above...............
