I am trying to find my punitive father William Jinks. It is believe to live in Yorkshire & was on leave in late Dec 1941 in Bentley Doncaster Yorkshire. I don't know his age or where born or who was married too.

He is believe to have been married at the time & I was told he was a sailor in HM forces but unsure if merchant or HM.

Does anyone have some one their tree that my be someone I can check out.

Or can anyone tell me how to get into record of enlisted service personnel to check if was in forces.
Any help would be appreciated as it would be nice to fill the gap on my tree.
