BVRI is British Vital Records Index, a set of 16 cd's that you can purchase from LDS Church through the Familysearch site. It covers christenings and marriages extracted from parish records, usually those not covered on Familysearch although there is some overlap.

Many thanks Margaret this is what I have been looking for I have John Young b1775 as son of Edward and father of Robert b1810. I was hoping this would lead me to Edwards parents.
What is BVRI ? you mention

Do you have these children of Edward Young and Ann Flower in Thirsk, Yorkshire?
From BVRI:
Robert born 15 May1781, chr 26 Sep.1781
George born 6 Apr.1784, chr 30 May1784
Edward born 2 Aug.1785, chr 14 Aug.1785
James born 1 Nov.1788, chr 7 Jan.1789
Christopher born 18 Jan.1792, chr 9 Mar.1792

There is a John Young christened 17 Sep.1775, Thirsk but only gives father's name as Edward.
Also with just father's name Edward:
James chr 18 May 1771
Edward chr 23 Aug.1773

There's this marriage on BVRI but it doesn't give fathers' names.
YOUNG, Edward Marriage
Wife: Ann FLOWER
Marriage Date: 29 Nov 1767 Recorded in: Kirk Leavington, Yorkshire, England
Source: FHL Film 1546299 Dates: 1737 - 1812

Hi Robert

If you google Hugh Wallis, its also uses the IGI index , but where as the Latter day Staint use it on a 6 week loop, the Hugh Wallis doesn't..Hope that makes sense

Can anyone help me find information on Edward Young b c1748
married to Anne Flower b 1748 in Topcliffe by Thirsk. They had a son John b 1775 in Thirsk. I can't find anything about Edwards parents anywhere.so any info will be helpful
