I wonder if someone could help me please, I've been searching for Mary Jane Rhoades in the 3 census forms of 1881, 1891 & 1901 but can't find her. She was born in 1859 in Kirton in Lindsey, Lincolnshire her mum and dad were called William and Elizabeth, I can find her with her family in the 1861 census when she was 2 and in 1871 when she was 12, at first I thought she might have died somewhere between 1871 and 1881 but I have now know for certain she had a child Tom Andrew in 1879 (father unknown) any help would be appreciated.. thanks, Linda |

Yes Jean, that's her son, but I can't find her after he was born, It's certainly her son as I have his birth certificate and she is named as his mother with father unknown and she was also classed as a "domestic servant" in 1879 when Tom was born |

thank you Jean and Glitter baby, this is beginning to look right, so if it is her I wonder why once she got married she didn't look after her son Tom |
