Hello, I don't know if it's possible but can I look somebody up on the 1841 census according to address? I have a Thomas Jolley (or Jolly) c1800 who was living in Bermondsey. In 1838 his wife died and he was living at 12 Wrights buildings and was a hoop bender. I cannot find him in 1841 - I found two Thomas Jolly's but they were both General dealers. As Thomas is also a hoop bender on his son's marriage cert in 1847 and in the 1851 census (address 5 Gilbert's court, Bermondsey), I don't think he'd become a general dealer in between. Also, the person who reported his wife's death was somebody Smith who lived at 11 Wrights Buildings so it would also help me to find out their first name as it is unreadable on the cert. Any help gratefully received. |
