Searching for information on the Frost/Adams name.

My mother's name was Mary Frost Adams. Her father was called John Emmerson Adams born 1891 (Gateshead) and Eleanor Armstrong born 1891 (Carlisle). Paternal Grandparents were John Adams (Northumberland 1855) and Mary Ann Coplin (Castle Douglas 1858). Maternal grandparents, William Armstrong (1874 Carlisle), Elizabeth Carruthers (1874 Carlisle).

My Mother was obviously given the middle name of Frost after one of her ancestors but I have been unable to find any information on this. I remember her saying that one of her ancestors was called Jack Frost.

Can anyone shed any light on this. I've been trying for about a year now trying to find the Frost connection.
