Having just dicovered lots about my Grandpa and Great Grandad my appitite is whetted and I wonder if it is possible to go on generation further back. I have a tantalising snippet of information that my G G grandmother's name was Maria and she was born in about1825 in Chichester. I have evidence of her being married to Jesse Jestico in 1861 but this is a second marriage and I am interested in her first husband whose name is a mystery (surname of course Dowding). Their son William John was born in about 1854. Any ideas would be most welcome. |

Found a William Dowding born 1854 Q2 Brighton Vol 2b page 198. |

a copy of William's birth certificate will give you his father's name. Found this on Freebmd....the second name is often missed from the index. |
