Help to find a marriage please?

Can anyone advise me on this one please?

I am trying to find out if the witnesses to a marriage were related to my either the bride or groom.

I have found them in 1881:-

Edward LUTTMAN Head M Male 38 Bollington, Cheshire, England Baker
Mary A. LUTTMAN Wife M Female 30 Manchester, Lancashire
Lilias LUTTMAN Daur U Female 7 Newton Heath, Lancashire, Scholar
Hannah LUTTMAN Daur U Female 5 Newton Heath, Lancashire, Scholar
Albert E. LUTTMAN Son U Male 3 Newton Heath, Lancashire, Scholar
Etty LUTTMAN Daur U Female 2 m Newton Heath, Lancashire
Sarah A. AINSWORTH Visitor U Female 31 Manchester, Lancashire

I need to find their marriage to get Mary Ann's maiden name.
I have searched from 1867 through to 1885 and used different spellings.
I have even tried LUFFMAN in case it has been mistranscribed but without success.

I have found the children's births but I don't really want to order one of the certificates to identify Mary Ann's maiden name as they may not even be related to me.

If anyone can help me find this marriage I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Lynne Tis Tom again!

Can you tell us some of the surnames you have around this area of your tree? (Might help searching for the marriage)

It is possible they were just friends though :)

Hello Tom,
I assume you are the same Tom who helped me the other night on FTF? What happened over there? Tell me to mind my own business if you like - LOL!!
Anyway, I think Mary Ann could be the aunt of the bride and her surname would be Owen.
You are quite right and they may just have been friends but when Fanny Owen (the bride) married James Wolstenholme, they were both 19. Mary Ann and Edward would have been 32 and 40 respectively.
Thanks for your help.

...>>>JARVIS Mary Ann Manchester 8d 505
...>>>LUCKMAN Edward Manchester 8d 505
Owen Richard Manchester 8d 505

Tracy

I did see that and it is possible but the age is well out isn't it.

Ozbird

That is a possibility. Is it from FreeBMD? If so I will look at the image and see if it is mistranscribed.
I wonder if it is a coincidence that there is an Owen on the same page - LOL!!

PS: I'm logging off for a while, back later to see if any more replies.

Perhaps not. On the census there is an Edward Luckman married to a Fanny in Manchester about that time. Fanny could be the missing name on that list.
