She was born in Salop (Shropshire) Burford. on the census she was head of the family 58 years old George son was 36 born Worcester Tenbury and Grandson 15 born Worcester Tenbury. Under the condition column it says for son Un for unmarried and for her W for widowed I assume. Grandson is blank. 1881 census george the grandson was married to Ellen birthplace Tenbury Worcester. Oldest daugher was Elizabeth bithplace Tenbury 11 months. Does this help??

	Need a bit more detail - where were they in 1861 to begin with! Where was she born who else was int he family on the census. It will tell you on the census image if she were widowed under the status column. If George married an Ellen or Eleanor - where did they marry and what is the oldest childs year of birth and place of birth? What census have you found them in?

Member Since: September 2003 Posts: 3 Send Message	Elizabeth in the 1861 Census was head of family. I assume this means she was widowed. I dont know her maiden name. Her son George married Ellen or Elenor who had 3 children Elizabeth George and Fanny. Can you help ???
