Did John marry Eliza Woodhall as detailed below?
In which case I presume the 1871 Record is the family and you are having problems pre this. As John and Eliza married in Lincolnshire in 1870 and they presumably moved north in 1870/1871 pre the census

I think the 1861 Record below is Wright Todd (listed as Lodd )with his mother in law Elizabeth Shaw although I can't find his wife Ann or son John for that year

I replied before and deleted it thinking I had the wrong family as I could only find John married to an Eliza

I am trying to trace Wright Todd who was bn Gt Sturton Lincs 1821 and his son John who was bn approx 1844. They moved from Lincs to North Yorkshire but not sure when. They are not on 1871 census so not sure where thay were at that point ! John was an only child I think - he married Annie Woodhall and they and both sets of parents moved to Yorkshire together.
Appreciate any help.
