Extracted from the local church. Its a samll town as well so Not many people with the same name and profession-The address is also the same in all censuses I fond. Quay Hill is Monmouth Hill and the Strand (1901) is theroad on the corner of the Hill. So all the same address give or take a couple of houses.

Familyfinder Report 11 Nov 2007 20:05

I'm 99% sure-The children all seeem to overlap o the census I do ahve-and on the IGI they all came up on the same batch number with Elizabeth jane and james as parents- James also has the same profession on both-But I'm open to suggestion!

The 1871 census-if you look closesly the 7 in James age is a 4 so he's 30 yeras younger than the transcriber has made him.

Were the records you found on the Mormon site EXTRACTED or SUBMITTED??

If submitted, you MUST be very careful, as they may well be incorrect.

Great! they had already had a Martha that died so maybe they called her Henrietta! Unless-Isn't Hettie a short form for Harriet and Henrietta?-I wonder if they said the shortened form -if the person writing it down thoguh they were being official and wrote the long name down-and got the wrong one. Long shot I know.Just thinkimg out loud. I'll see if there is a birth for a henrietta. Can't find a marriage of the parents either-Seems they were all called something different!!! Thanks anyway

Ozibird

Ozibird Report 11 Nov 2007 19:51

I'm pretty sure it says Henrietta.

Please-does anyone think this does say Martha-Or could it be Harriet?

I have found all the rest of the family (And previous cildren that died) on the IGI with correct parents. These parents had a little girl called Harriet who died in June 1871. But I can't find a birth for a Martha-who wouldbe the same age. I don't think there were twins as there was only one baptism of a baby that age as well-Harriet- Any suggestions please-I also cannot find Martha agin on the next census-which means if it is harriet thats correct as she had already sadly died age 10 months old.

Thanks to anyone who has time to look.
