Found this on Google (name spelt slightly differently):-

The name Hephzibah is a Female name that is commonly believed to be of Hebrew origin. The name hephzibah has the following meaning in Hebrew: She is my delight.

Looking at the image of the 1871 census I think this is the spelling on the image.

I have to similar names in my tree

one spelled Hepzibah & one Hepziba

Thanks for that Kathleen and Lulli I am not sure which part of the family it comes from.....Adams or Sheldrick Sheila
