I am trying to find records on a trial held at Essex Assizes around 17 June 1924. It involved 2 men William Gannon and James Rose

Does anybody have access to or know how I would be able to acquire this kind of information?

Thanks
Gayle

You might find the case was reported in the local newspapers of the time - back copies of these should be on microfilm at the nearest library to where the trial took place.

I think they would be at National Archives in Kew, although may be subject to a 75-100 year closure. If 75, you're OK! There is a very small article in the Times about it, by the way.
