The details i posted were from family search site and i have not been able to find a death index for Isaac in 1849 (or anytime) so is it a wrong entry?

I don't think that would help with working out which census is correct as they were both Hannah's though or would it?

The birth cert will have the mother's full maiden name..........

Thanks for this I'm a little confused now though....

Isaac Haresign is the father of George Henry born in Leeds 1857.

The 1841 census states Isaac was born in Lincolnshire.

The 1851 census Reg found for me, Georges age is correct however Isaac is listed as being born in Wetherby. His occupation matches Georges marriage certificate. Isaacs wife Hannah's age is mistranscribed on this census should be 35 not 55.

The 1851 census Glitterbaby found might be correct as Isaacs place of birth is Lincolnshire.

Both those census show Isaacs wife as Hannah which matches Kathleens details.

Were there 2 Isaac Haresigns who both married a Hannah?

Janice's details show that Isaac married a Hannah Johnson in 1848 (same as Kathleen's details) however they show he died the year after in 1849....

I know he was alive in 1857 as his son was born then.

If I purchase George Henrys birth cert that will only show his mother as Hannah which will not help identifing the correct one.

Can anybody shed any light please

Julie

There is this marriage in Yorkshire:-

Name: Isaac Haresign
Year of Registration: 1848
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Knaresborough
County: Yorkshire - West Riding
Volume: 23
Page: 297

The birth certificate of his son would give his wife's name.

Hi
I'm trying to trace the family of an Isaac Haresign. I have traced him on the 1841 census mis-transcribed as Daresign:-
Mary Daresign
Age: 10
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1831
Gender: Female
Where born: Lincolnshire, England

Civil Parish: Gosberton
Hundred: Kirton
County/Island: Lincolnshire
Country: England

Street address:

Occupation: View Image

Registration district: Spalding
Sub-registration district: Gosberton
Neighbors: View others on page
Household Members: Name Age
Ann Daresign 35
George Daresign 5
Graves Daresign 4
Isaac Daresign 12
James Daresign 15
John Daresign 40
John Daresign 8
Mary Daresign 10
Sarah Daresign 7
Thomas Daresign 14

I haven't been able to confirm Isaacs marriage however have confirmed his son George Henry was born in 1857 in Hunslet Leeds. I have a copy of Georges marriage cert and this lists Isaac as his father.

I have been unable to find out Isaacs wife's name or find him on any census after 1841.

Can anybody help me?

Julie
