Dear Catherine

Try www.irishgenealogy.ie - there is a baptism record for a John Keegan in County Wexford in 1821.

The only entry for a Catherine Swift is a marriage but to a Michael Burke.

I think you have to pay for the records but it might be a place to start.

You could ry sending an email to the Irish Family History Society. They will be able to point you in theright direction on where to look and what to look for. I have found them to be very helpful. Their email is [email protected]

I am at a loss as to how to find records of my gtgt grandparents births and marriage because they were born in Ireland. I am not entirely sure where even?!! however family talk is that our ancestors were from co.clare or cork?
I would love information on John Keegan dob 1821
and Catharine Swift dob 1825?
Hopefully their marriage record too. They were RC so maybe baptism rec??
They moved to Durham and had 6 children there before John died in 1866 (I have his death cert.)
Its possible they had a son William too before they left Ireland he was born 1844
any information would be gratefully received
