I've been able to see ancestors workhouse records at records office. Each person should have their own sheet in the admissions register and an entry in the Creed register.

lots of info on Workhouses in general on Internet, one site I have used is the one hosted by Peter Higginbotham, hope this is correct spelling. Might provide you with some help, apologies if you have already tried this source of information

Can anyone tell me how to access information on Union Workhouses ie inmates, what happened to them when they left the workhouse, were they went and deaths in the workhouse. Looking for Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead in particular.
