Have you been able to find out when the brother Charles was born and where?

Could have fibbed a bit about this age?

I've looked in the last two quarters of 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908 and 1909 and I can't find a birth reference for him.

Does the marriage certificate give an occupation for his father Charles James Clark?

Electoral Rolls are held in the main public libraries for the relevant areas. They are searchable only by address.

When did Benjamin marry?

Electoral rolls are held at the records office. Other than those, you can only search on address for the census years, 1901, 1891 etc etc.


As for his birth, information on death and marriage certificates in not always accurate, have you tried searchin a couple of years either side of 1907? Also you should try www.freeBMD.org.uk before spending any money, they have good coverage upto about 1920 although it isn't complete.

Help, i have recently spent a load of £ to search the records but i must be looking in the worng place or ia have some form of Record Blindness.

I am looking for Benjamin Alfred Clark's birth details, he birth date on his death cert give 1907 17 Aug

He had a older brother Charles

details form his marriage cert. age 23 ath the time work back to 1907 but i cannot find it.


Stepney area Perhaps Bethnal Green
His father was Charles James Clark as shown on the marriage cert.

Also how do i find out about electorial rolls ?


and how do search address records
As you can tell i am very new to all this ! any help will be greatly appriciated
