AMPUTEE..ACCIDENT AT DOCKS AS A CARTER.WOULD THERE

Hi anyone and everyone, my grt grt grandad worked at the docks (he lived in west derby area liverpool) as a carter he had an accident and ended up having the lower part of his leg amputated and a wooden one fitted he was born in 1859/60 and died age 43 1928 he had to give up work as a result and i was just wondering if there would be any kind of record, news article or absolutely anything about it anywhere? any advice would be kindly welcome and your time greatly appreciated..thanks

try the editor of the "scottie press" he is involved with the archives of the liverpool carters union & has fund of knowledge
on the carters, good luck
