Thank you, I also looked at that one. Rebecca signed the birth cert so she survived the birth & I can't find a death for her.
Known siblings of William were Lena (Selina?) & Flossa (Florence?)

This is my Grandad but he was such a quiet man that none of us know anything about his history. All offspring were female including me!

There is no result for the name Rebecca Cardow anywhere in the UK.........did you get her name from a document?

SNAP!!!

I am looking for William Henry L JAMES born BARRY Glamorgan January 1897 ie 4 at time of census.
He was the son of William Henry JAMES & Rececca JAMES nee CARDOW
William Henry JAMES senior was a carpenter known to have spent some of his working life making coffins.

I can find no trace of the on the 1901 & neither can I find parents marriage.

William Henry L JAMES married & died in BARRY so he unlikely to have gone very far from home
