Help....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone possibly help me find any info on my ggrandfather.
Joseph Robinson born 1864c Salford Manchester.
I found him on 1891 census married to first wife Mary and then 1901 married to 2nd wife, Elizabeth D'arcy, my ggrandmother.
I know when he died, where he is buried, got his marriage cert to Elizabeth.
I can't find anything at all on him prior to 1891. Father was William deceased when he got married.Mother Margaret was living with his family 1901.
I have looked on freebmd, lancashirebmd and through Ancestrybmd but I can't find any Joseph born in 1863 to 1865 born Salford Manchester.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, I have been looking for him for so long now.

Can you tell if this is the family from 1871?
If it is then that puts Joseph's birth at 1867 and there are quite a few possibles on BMD.

Thanks for replying.
I have seen this entry on the census before but the dob always put me off thinking it could be him. 1891 and 1901 he was a tripe dresser (yuk), and along with other info which I know from the family, those census entries are definately him.
On 1901 census mother Margaret is living with Joseph and it is stated that she was born in Manchester, but the 1871 states born in Dublin as does the 1881 that is if one of 2 entries on this census are correct. She was then living with brother Abraham but I think this was her son as dates match.

This entry 1881 census I have also seen before when Joseph was living with his mum Margaret but the dob for Margaret is 5 years out. At that time the area they were living in was St Clements in Manchester. On the 1891 he was also living in the same area St Clements, by then married, so could still be him.
AARRRGGGHH!!
Don't you go round and round with all of this!!!!
How could I find out which is the correct one??

In 1901 Marrgaret is 66 years old if I found the right entry. That would fit with the 35 years in my 1871 above.
