Only costs £7 from GRO and delivered within 12-14 days, it's the only way to go as Wayne said

As Glenys said, you need to order your Nans birth cert that will give you all the info you ned to progress with your tree.

are you looking for your great gran or gran it doesn't seem clear, if you bought your grans birth certificate it would tell you the names of your great grandmother and grandfather, then you could go back into the census from there

this could be her birth reg' below

I'm trying to find out about my great-gran's ancestors, but can't find out her father's name.
My nan, Anne Heaver, was born in 1904 and had 3 brothers (Richard Potter 1/2 brother, Charles and Joseph) and a sister, Helen. I think her mother was called Amelia. They were living in the Folkstone/Elham area at the turn of the century.
I know Richard and Helen both died on 31 October, around 1980. Joe died in Canada in about 2005. I dont know anything about Charles, he may have been involved in the war in some capacity but I havent found any evidence so far.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
