I am trying to find the date of death and place of burial for twins George and Elizabeth Ann Godfrey born 16 July 1884 in Armley, Leeds.

Elizabeth Ann lived to old age, possibly into her 80's, but I think George could have died at birth, or very young as he doesn't appear with Elizabeth on any census.

Have you looked for deaths on the freebmd site?

Did the female marry?

Is this the same George as the one whose parentage you were trying to discover on another thread?

Thanks to everyone for your help.

Here are the answers to some of your questions.

WEST COUNTRY LASS, I'm sure he will have died, but I'm not sure when. I assumed it was young as I can't find any reference to him after birth, not even on the 1891 census when he would only have been 7. But your find could be him.

REGGIE I have looked on freebmd without success, and the female did marry John Woodhead in 1902. I have the ref 9b 640 for that.

WEST COUNTRY LASS The parents names were as you have discovered Daniel Godfrey & Ann Burke.

REGGIE I found Elizabeth on the 1891 & 1901 census, but not George, and yes it is the same George that I was trying to confirm parentage, I will get a copy birth certificate for that.

Record of Baptism might be my next line of enquiry to see if they were baptised together?

Thanks again
Keith
