The only way to be absolutely sure of any facts is to buy the certificates. You could buy the marriage cert and that will give you Charles' father so you can tie him into the right family. If you bought the child visitors birth cert you would know who are parents are. |

Thanks, I have never found any children I looked for his sisters marrying and cannot find anything but on the 1891 census records there is a Elizabeth claydon could this be florries mother nothing on 1901 census I am confused about the other Charles Sheldrick but there were alot from Cambridgeshire. On the 1901 in essex Florrie is down as a visitor and the other chap is a clerk who is boarding with them. Did they never have children? |

I shouldnt worry about an odd year out on their ages when everything else is right! Just depends on who gave the info. I would say it is them. Both are born in the right places - right names, ages virtually right and occupation as shopkeepers ties in. |

Thanks alot for that 1891 is right as Rebecca was living with them in 1881 she is Louisa sister not sure about the 1901 census as the ages are wrong and who are Florrie and Frederick Charles sister must have got married or died lots to look into Rebecca Fowkes shows on the 1901 census in Islington with a Habadashery shop but do not know if she was living on her own as not got full records. I am trying to find the above born in 1853 to George Sheldrick and Harriet Adams in Cambridge he had three sisters Hephzibah, Jessie, Lizzie they were based in Islington found him on the 1881 census with wife and sister Eephzibah living with them but disappeared after that date. Sheila |
