Hot matches do work I have just made contact with someone who has a thomas moull in their tree so here hoping they might be able to shed some light on this mystery

He was def in England in 1881 as originally posted but trail goes cold after that

Were his parents William and Mary A. by any chance?
There's a family on the 1901 census in Canada:
William born Aug.1832
Mary A. born July 1827
Thomas, son, born Aug.1866
They were all born England, Thomas emigrated 1885 and William & Mary in 1886.
Problem is Thomas' age is wrong and it says he's single.

Update: Never mind, just found your Thomas in 1871 with parents Joseph & Jane!

I presumed the same about the child have search uk records high and low and found no trace which why i though about emigration
