This is a real long shot.
I was born in York in 1943 and registered at birth as Paul Irvine Walker before being adopted aged three months. My birth mother, Ursula Ann WALKER was already married but my father was not her husband. My theory is that my mother had an adulterous affair with a member of the armed forces stationed in York in 1943 and named me after him. Servicemen of many nationalities were in York at that time, possibly PAUL IRVINE could have been American, Canadian, or from several other Commonwealth countries.
Any suggestions?

Get your adoption file, see what it says.
