There's a John Jones born in 1836 in Toxteth Park in the 1851 to parents John and Mary, but nothing yet for 1841. Does Toxteth make sense? Do you have any info on any siblings? If this is the right record then it seems Mary's maiden name is Rice and she has a brother called John aswell, and they are from Ireland.

There are quite a few John Jones born 1836 in Manchester and they don't seem to use middle names on the 41 census. There's this one:
Back Joiner? St., Manchester
John Jones, 36, fustian cutter
Mary, 35
John, 5
William, 2
All born in county.

Hi, what information exactly are you searching for? Sounds like you know quite a bit already and don't want to duplicate, but I'll take a look for you... Paula

Catching up on some quiet time research and just got a juicy lead... I'm trying to get what info I can on this family who I think are from Manchester. I know the son John Henry Jones was christened in Manchester Cathedral in 1836 to John Jones and Mary Peover. Later on in the 1860's he was known as John Peever Jones and this was carried on as John Henry Peever Jones later by his grandson. Your help is much appreciated!
Kind regards, Simon.
