Alan,

There are 22 Parishes some with more than one church. If you could let me know which parish you're interested in I could do a search, easier than me typing them all out.

Regards

Phil

Hi Phil,

Many thanks for your kind offer.

I am searching for the birth of John Holvey born 1809 Westminster, London and hoping it might be found in your London Church Records.

Birth Information is taken from 1851 census so the year could vary.

Sorry I do not have any further information.

Congratulations on a very informative homepage.

Hi Dee,

I've searched through my Irish stuff and found two Torney records. I'm afraid I don't know what they are, I suspect death. I have a document titled Inch Parish Records 1788 to 1872:

1811 ? Jan. Torney (100) Thomas of Ballygawley
1797 2 Feb. Torney (84) Mrs. Thomas of Ballugawlet - buried at Saul - name extinct

Hope these are of some help.

Cheers

Phil

Jean,

There's a John Gillick in the 1821 census of Killynure, which is the only data I have for Cavan. He is a cotton weaver born in 1793 living at House No. 16 Parish of Crosserlough
Barony of Castlerahan
County of Cavan

There's also a Thomas (B. abt. 1759) (father?) & Catherine Gillick & family living at No. 18 whose a farmer.

Hi Jean,

A quick one, do you have access to the census? There is a Joseph Bellas in the 1841 Census living in Penrith:
Head - William B. abt. 1801
Wife - Mary B. abt. 1801
Son - Joseph B. abt. 1828
Son - David B. abt. 1831
Dau - Mary B. abt. 1835

William is working as a Cotton Weaver.

Is this the right family?

Hi Phil,
Very good of you to offer help.
I have limited info, but it's worth a try.
john Gillick bc 1808 Cavan ireland married to Mary, children Thomas bc 1836, Patrick bc 1844 both Cavan, other children born in Liverpool.

Also, if not being too cheeky, Joseph Bellas Cumberland bc 1823.
Any info on the above would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Jean
