Hi Barbara the marriage was registered in Barnsley 4th quarter 1937. I ordered the certificate a couple of weeks ago (I live in Australia which doesnt help with postage times)
I have no idea what her next married name was although her husbands name was Sam (not much help there) The only other thing I know about her is she was Irish which will help when the cert comes back. As to kids names I have no idea although I believe there were several of them. them. Many thanks

When did you send for cert? (By the way were they actually married in Doncaster and not Barnsley ?)

I will take a look and see if I can find a remarriage for Dorothy---have you any idea who she married or any of her other childrens names ?

Hi Barbara,
Both really. I know very little about her other than she and my Grandad separated when my Dad was very young and that she went on to remarry and had several more children. Sadly we have lost Dad Trevor and Grandad so no one left to ask.

Do you mean you are trying to find Dorothy after she was seperated from William--or do you mean before she married him?

Have you got Dorothy and Williams marriage certificate to astablish her age and fathers name ?

I am trying to find my paternal grandmother Dorothy Barrett who married to William Guest in Barnsley in 1937. They had two boys William Joseph 1938 (My Dad) and Trevor in 1939. Both Dorothy and William after their separation went on to remarry.
Hoping someone can help
