Hi all

Can anybody help me please?
I believe i've found my great grandmother's marriage (Maria Hughes,District Holywell, Flintshire, September 1919, 11b, 439)
However i can't find a record of who she married only a surname which is Jones.
To be honest i've given myself brain drain and now am in complete meltdown with all the info i've been through.
Thanks in advance
Paula 8-)

I think you will have to send off for the marriage certificate.

That is the only way to find out which Jones she married.

It will cost you £7.

Go to www.gro.gov.uk, click on Ordering Certificates Online, and follow instructions.

The GRO reference number they will ask for is the set of 2 numbers to the right of Holywell.

Unfortunately, there are no censuses after 1901 for anyone to check.

You could also obtain the birth certificate for one or more of her childnre.

The only other possible way is if BOTH of them are listed on the Electoral Roll for any year after 1919.

I may be totally wrong but to me it looks as if Maria Hughes married Robert Jones,
Edward Jones looks as though he married someone else with the surname Jones.
