The sure and easy way to start is to order that marriage certificate. It will give you Sarah's father's name and occupation, most likely. Then you can search for her with that father, and for him, in the previous censuses. |

Found this family on 1861 - but there are a few Sarah Bennets. This is the only one saying born Nottingham. However, you really need the marriage cert - which will confirm her father's name. |
